'Surf Bench' — Read Architecture & Design

Inspired by Claude Parent's Vivre à l’oblique sketchbook, NYC-based architecture firm READ designed a piece of furniture in conversation with the environment: a bench, just like a surfboard, that needs an input from its surrounding to find its balance and realize its full potential.

Conversing with READ’s founder, architect Côme Ménage, the video captures the creative process and explains the philosophy behind this unique object.
